Kristen Guth

Dr. Kristen Guth is a postdoctoral scholar in organizational communication and risk at the University of Kentucky Department of Communication. Her dissertation centered on a Silicon Valley start-up and she researches processes around innovation in start-ups, including change management, team collaboration, expertise negotiation, technology design, and knowledge management. Kristen led several training workshops at the USC Marshall School of Business for three years in the Experiential Learning Center. She worked as a journalist for FOX and NBC, a public relations professional at Edelman, a legislative assistant for UPS Corporate Public Affairs, and a researcher for Harvard Law School’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. Kristen’s research has been published in Journal of Communication and Communication Monographs, as well as the Encyclopedia of Corporate Reputation. She has presented her research at various conferences, including the Academy of Management, the National Communication Association, the International Communication Association, and the Association of Internet Researchers.
