Bob Farinelli is an entrepreneur and inventor holding 22 patents in the field of automation, monitoring and controls. He started his engineering career in Sothern California working for Hughes Aircraft Company, then moved to a small defense subcontractor to manage engineering and manufacturing operations. Bob relocated to Lexington and joined Square D Company as a project manager in a new business development group. 5 years later he lead a management buyout to create Elan Home Systems which became a leader in home automation over the next 15 years. With a successful sale of that business, Bob pivoted that experience to start Smart Farm Systems Inc, which provide precision irrigation monitoring and control systems for the agricultural community. Bob holds a BSEE from RIT, Rochester NY and MS in Technology Managementfrom National University, San Diego CA.
