Daniel Lau, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Kentucky. His research interests include 3-D imaging sensors and 3-D photogrammetry. Dr. Lau received his B.Sc. degree (with highest distinction) in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware. Previously, he was a DSP engineer at Aware, Inc., and an Image and signal processing engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Aside from his teaching and research interests, Dr. Lau is also the Chief Technology Officer for Seikowave Inc. and a founding member of FlashScan 3D, a company focused on developing non-contact, 3-D biometric scanning systems.
