Bruce Webb, Ph.D. is co-founder of ParaTechs Corporation, a privately held biotechnology company formed in 2004 based on intellectual property from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Webb is a professor in the Department of Entomology and was the Director of the Agricultural Biotechnology Program at the University of Kentucky from 2005-2009. Prior to this he was with the Department of Entomology, Rutgers University and Texas A&M University. He received his PhD in Zoology from the University of Washington. He is author or co-author of 65 publications and has received the Thomas Poe Cooper Distinguished Research Award and the University of Kentucky Distinguished Research Professor Award. Dr. Webb is Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the University of Kentucky. His diverse research, teaching and practical contributions were recognized by the University of Kentucky in 2011 when he became a Provost’s Distinguished Service Professor.
