Kennedy Nguyen is an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance at the University of Kentucky, Gatton College of Business and Economics. Kennedy has previous experience studying fashion design in Paris and London, learning about the global perspective on business trends, consumer behavior, and branding strategies. These unique insights translate into an understanding of market positioning and investment opportunities in private equity, along with building a sustainable growth model in the fashion industry.
Bootcamp Project:
I want to continue to pursue my fashion startup K-N STUDIO. Launched back in 2022, K-N STUDIO has always been a passion of mine (including fashion) and within one year of launching K-N STUDIO I was able to work with an influencer on TikTok with 2,500,000 followers and was able to have my designs worn on the red carpet at a major movie premier (Babylon 2022) while being shot by Getty Images alongside major celebrities such as Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt. Having secured a valuable production team as well as a high quality fabric manufacturer, designs are executed with high levels or precision and with a seasoned production coordinator products are at the utmost quality. We also have had our designs shot by Duke Nguyen, a fashion photographer who works with Peter Do and also have shot for Helmut Lang and many other notable designers, while working with an upcoming fashion models. A majority of my resources as well as my manufacturers are all based out of New York City. K-N STUDIO draws influences from neo-futurism, deconstructed minimalism, architecture, and as well as fashion history for our designs. I have very little knowledge about the startup world and the journey for me has been quite a challenge. I would be beneficial for me to be a part of Bootcamp because of the community it would provide me as well as the exposure and improvement on skills and knowledge in the startup world.
