Why Amped Matters – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Amped is one of the few Black-founded and Black-led nonprofits in Jefferson County and our team is directly connected to the work in the community. Both our Music Academy (Chickasaw neighborhood) and, Business Incubator and Innovation Center (Russell neighborhood) are all located in Louisville’s West End. Due to issues of systemic racism such as redlining, there has been a lack of investment in the area. We know that the talent is here in the West End, but there must be investment of resources and capital. Amped is working to lift up our community from within by creating economic empowerment, ownership, and independence using music, technology, business, and love as our super power!

Sponsor or Donate

Every business that goes through the Amped program receives education and wraparound services. To even the playing field with people who come from financial means, it is essential that the program also provide wraparound services. This may include access to technology/internet, transportation, childcare, or other unexpected personal needs. When you sponsor the Amped RTBI program, you aren’t just helping an individual, you are supporting the economic growth of our entire community. Sponsorship opportunities start at $5,000 and can include placement of your name or company logo on the wall display in the Amped RTBI office. Donations can be made at any time.
