The Kentucky - West Virginia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (KY-WV LSAMP) is a consortium of colleges and universities working together to create, enhance, and expand programs designed to broaden participation and increase the quality and quantity of students from underrepresented populations who receive degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Program goals and activities focus on undergraduate research experiences, graduate school preparation, and international experiences. LSAMP is a federally funded program through the National Science Foundation. KY-WV LSAMP is one of over 50 alliances in the nation.
Fara led the LSAMP consortium for many years, and is now a consultant for other entrepreneurs and nonprofit groups seeking to build and design their new businesses and advisory boards. She is working on authoring a new book on these learning experiences and will launch sales soon!
