Chris Young has been active as an entrepreneur and investor in technology related startup companies for over 10 years. He started his career in Atlanta, GA working as a sales engineer for Security First Technologies, an online banking technology company. He then moved to San Francisco to join the startup technology consulting firm, Scient, working on projects for First Union and Sephora.com, among others. Shortly after Scient went public, he was the founder of two technology related startups, raising over $60 million in venture capital from Sequoia Capital, Freeman Spogli & Co., Capital Research & Management, HarbourVest, Pivotal Partners, Aesop Capital, and Oracle Venture Fund. He returned to Kentucky in 2004 and currently serves on the Board of Managers of the Blue Grass Angel Venture Fund II and Transposagen Biopharmaceuticals. He received a BS in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
