Spring 2024 CCTS Conference: 7th Annual Poster Pitch Competition!

The 19th Annual Clinical Center for Translational Science (CCTS) Spring Conference will be held on April 9, 2024 in the Central Bank Center (in-person).  The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship (VACE) in the Gatton College of Business and Economics hosts its 7th annual 1-minute poster pitch competition. 1-Mintute Poster Pitch Overview

All poster pitches will be LIVE and in front of an audience!

If you submit to the poster sessions, you will be eligible for the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship "60-second Poster Pitch" competition. Space to compete is limited to participants that selected "Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation" through the abstract submission process (there is no waiting list). Selected applicants must attend a 1-hour coaching session via zoom meeting on how to organize and deliver a 60-second pitch. Only those who sign-up and attend an online coaching session will be officially entered into the competition. 

Zoom coaching session dates are during a lunch break and offered on: 

  • April 2nd (Tuesday) from 12:00pm-1:00pm EST
  • April 4th (Thursday) from 12:00pm-1:00pm EST

The 1-Minute Pitch will be judged by a panel of judges selected by VACE, based on two key criteria below:

  1. Clarity of Presentation (60%)
  2. Potential to Create New Therapies (40%)

$2,000 in Total Prizes

  • $850 for 1st place
  • $600 for 2nd place
  • $400 for 3rd place
  • $150 for Judges Choice Award
