Congratulations to Entrepreneurs Bootcamp alum, and 1st place winner in the graduate division of the PNC Wildcat Pitch Competition, Soroosh Torabi.
Soroosh has been involved with The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship since 2017 when he enrolled in Bootcamp and worked with the Founder of Handprint Technologies, Kevin Richardson from the College of Engineering. Handprint moved forward to become a successful startup and is currently producing products to help assist frontline healthcare workers combatting the pandemic.
“This win was a dream come true for me. I pitched the business plan based on the technology I have been developing as a PhD student, at the PNC Wildcat Pitch Competition. Being in the Bootcamp program, along with several years of competition coaching and pitching helped me so much. It all started when I decided to be more than an engineer and stepped out of my comfort zone. I am very thankful to The Von Allmen Center staff for mentoring me these last 4 years and sticking by my side. There is still much more to do, much more to learn, but I am looking forward to the challenges ahead!” - Soroosh Torabi
“It has been an honor to coach Soroosh through his entrepreneurial journey. His hard work has paid off and we are looking forward to continued success as he evolves his startup’s business model.” - Warren Nash, Director of The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship
