December 2021 (Lexington, KY) - The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship is happy to announce that Christine Wildes has been named the Associate Director of Innovation Training for UK Innovate! Team VACE is grateful to have worked with Christine in the Gatton College of Business & Economics over the last three years supporting the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp, developing the Salesforce Club, and teaching entrepreneurship as an adjunct faculty member under the Department of Management.
A new umbrella, called UK Innovate, has been created under the Vice President of Research. Ian McClure, associate vice president for research, innovation and economic impact will be developing and overseeing UK Innovate. By placing a greater emphasis on UK’s innovation culture and promoting the innovative and entrepreneurial activity of UK’s faculty, staff, students and community, UK Innovate will help sustain increased momentum related to the university’s innovation and entrepreneurism and foster economic and societal impact.
Christine Wildes has accepted the position of Associate Director, Innovation Training for UK Innovate. Her focus will be leading innovation and entrepreneurial training programs and initiatives, including coordinating current programs and developing new translational research training programs through partnership and extramurally funded mechanisms.
"I have enjoyed working with the Gatton College and Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship these last three years. I am excited to continue developing entrepreneurship under the leadership of Ian McClure and the highly motivated UK Innovate team. I will apply my education, innovation and entrepreneurship in creating dynamic training programs that foster discovery, influence our research impact and add to the University of Kentucky," said Wildes
