250LEX Entrepreneurial Showdown: Bootcamp StartUps Win 2nd Place!

Lexington, KY – On Tuesday, April 16, 2025, student entrepreneurs from the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, Bluegrass Community and Technical College, and Fayette County Public Schools presented their innovative ideas at the 250LEX Entrepreneurial Showdown at the Transylvania University Campus Center.

The event is part of 250LEX, a citywide celebration of Lexington’s 250th anniversary. Throughout 2025, the initiative is hosting a yearlong series of events highlighting the city’s history, culture, innovation and community spirit. Each month focuses on a different theme—from Lexington’s equestrian heritage and bourbon legacy to its vibrant arts, sports, and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Founded in 1775, a year before the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Lexington is celebrating its past, honoring its present and looking boldly toward the future. The 250LEX Entrepreneurial Showdown reflects that spirit by showcasing the ideas and energy of the next generation of leaders and innovators.

Five student-led ventures were featured, with each team focused on solving real-world problems through creativity, technology and practical design.
