  • IBIS World Market reports (login and access)

Session #6 – October 6, 2016

  • “Early Stage Prototyping & Software/App/Web development” w/ guest speaker(s)
  • $500 spending plans due for SPARK event selection
  • Potential mini-fieldtrip to NiceNPan for icecream

  • “The Art of Networking” – teams select one person for the 1-minute pitch at Hop Cat on 410 West Short Street, 5:00–7pm, Open Mic Night!

Session #9 – October 27, 2016

  • “Financial Projections & the ProForma” w/ guest speaker(s)
  • Submit Draft Business Plan to Mariam/Warren before Session #10

  • Alex Genadinik Lunch and Learn Session, “Business Plan Writing” author
  • Teams make appt. with Alex before 5pm

Session #12 B – November 18, 2016 (Friday)

  • Bootcamp Teams Pitch at GEW (5-minutes)
  • GEW will be located off campus, location TBD
  • All spending plans due November 23rd before Thanksgiving Break!

Session #13 – November 24, 2016

  • No Bootcamp this week: Thanksgiving Break
  • Continue to edit the business plan

Session #14 – November 30, 2016 (Wednesday)

  • Bootcamp Finale: 5-10 minute presentations
  • Include $500 spending plan in your pitch!
  • Prize Money Awarded

September 2-7

  • Contact teammates, setup a time to connect with inventor, understand the project problem/solution.
  • Recommend reviewing The Lean StartUp
  • Prepare the team’s 1-minute elevator pitch for Session #2.

September 9-14

  • Continue to finesse the 1-Minute pitch.
  • Reference The Lean StartUp & Identify team member roles.
  • Begin reading Business Plan & Business Model books.
  • Business Plan Template will be emailed

September 16-21

  • Each team member should practice the 1-minute pitch and fully understand the project / solution.
  • Start filling in the Business Plan template
  • Schedule Access Session of IBIS World w/ Chelsea Theno
  • Session #4 - All members must have a speaking role

September 23-28

  • Incorporate feedback from judges
  • Mariam will email the Business Plan Outline
  • Work on $500 spending plan

October 1-5

  • Interview potential customers and incorporate customer feedback
  • Access IBIS World
  • Continue filling out the Business Plan Template

October 7-12

  • Continue filling out the Business Plan Outline
  • Continue developing spending plan
  • Select one team member to pitch at Hop Cat (Session 7)

October 14-19

  • Continue filling out the Business Plan Template
  • Alejandro Cremades student sponsored Lunch Oct. 14th
  • Address intellectual property and company filing in the Business Plan Outline

October 21-26

  • Set up a meeting with a financial mentor
  • Include 3-5 year financial projections in the Business Plan

October 28 – November 2

  • Incorporate judges feedback into Business Plan
  • Apply to Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Pitch Contest

November 11-16

  • Prepare for Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Pitch Contest (5-minutes)
  • Continue to edit the business plan

November 19-23

  • Prepare for Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Pitch Contest (5-minutes)
  • GEW Submission Deadline TBD

  • Begin applying to Spring Business Plan Competitions

Bootcamp Celebration and Spring Competitions Ahead

A Pizza Party Lunch will be held on Dec. 5, 2016 in Venture Studio to discuss the team’s next steps and Spring 2017 Competitions
